I saw Grand Theft Hamlet but was disappointed that there's very little Shakespeare in it except for the line abojt an idiot full of sound and fury. I generally watch every Shakespeare adaptation I can get my hands on but Grand Theft Hamlet was much more like a Seinfeld episode in CG with British accents.... Wasn't Knausgaarden a pre 2010 sensation and Icelandic?

Knausgaard is still I think one of our most influential writers, as in, he is still constantly name-checked by our autofiction writers. And we have yet to move on from autofiction as a whole.

And same re: Grand Theft! I will watch just about any adaptation of Hamlet, but there was almost none in this whole doc. Maybe thought the audience would be too dumb to like it? Very weird choice for a film that is ostensibly about getting "normies" in a video game to perform Hamlet. Gah, that movie pissed me off.

Just yesterday saw local production of "Fat Ham," which does have Shakespeare in it. Wish there wasn't a Telegraph paywall. I want to read your Tapper review.
